Development of Life Cycle Based GHG Emissions from the Electricity Mix Broken Down by Energy Source (Germany)

The GHG emissions of the German electricity mix, described in the project eXtremos from the solidEU scenario, are calculated including the whole life cycle of fuels and energy plants. For the life cycle factors the database ecoinvent is used. To respect future development of the emission factors, a background adaptation of the databases is conducted. The scenario “SSP2-Peak Budget 115″ of the REMIND model and ecoinvent 3.9 are used in the tool premise to adjust the background database.
