The district Donau-Ries is located in Western Bavaria, Southern Germany, as a part of the administrative region Swabia. The map shows the amount of electricity and heat produced for all biogas plant locations in the district of Donau-Ries for the year 2018. In addition, the map indicates for each community whether and how many heating networks are already located or being planned there (source: Amt für Ernährung, Landwirtschaft und Forsten Nördlingen).
In this context, it should be noted that the labeling of the designated communities with heating networks is just an indicator for the existence of heating networks and does not mean there are heating networks all over the place. This makes it possible, for example, to check which plants have so far only been used to generate electricity and could in principle still be used for combined electricity and heat generation in heat networks.
