Regionalization Factors Power-to-Gas (Europe NUTS-2)

Regionalization Factors Power-to-gas (Power-to-Methane and Power-to-Hydrogen) at NUTS-2 level in Europe. With these regionalization factors new installation of power-to-gas capacity within one country can be optimally distributed. The influencing factors for a suitable PtG regionalization are renewable energy sources (Wind and PV, based on eXtremOS-scenarios), hydrogen users (only industry, based on eXtremOS-scenarios), possible CO2 sources (only industry, based on eXtremOS-scenarios), gas storages (GIE Storage Database), and the gas network (based on ENTSO-G). We weight these factors differently depending on whether power-to-hydrogen or power to-methane is considered. The sum of all regionalization factors within one country is 1.
