NUTS-2 Europe (2016)

NUTS regions are administrative units in member states of the European Union, which make it possible to compare regions across countries. NUTS-2 regions are basic regions (for the application of regional policies). In Germany, NUTS-2 regions correspond to the administrative district level (“Regierungsbezirk”). The classification is updated regularly. Existing statuses: 2007,2013,2016,2021. The data provided here is based on OpenStreetMap (2016).
