BEniVer is the accompanying research project to the research initiative “Energy turnaround in transport” (Energiewende im Verkehr) of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affaris and Energy (Funding code: 03EIV116). The funding initiative deals with the investigation of the production and application of synthetic fuels.

The FfE is responsible for the ecological assessment. Thus, the aim of the tasks is on the one hand the evaluation of the fuel pathways from a life cycle assessment perspective. On the other hand, ways and means are to be offered to ensure that the projects of the funding initiative leverage possible synergies and deliver comparable results. In order to achieve this, methods and data will be made available that enable a harmonised approach.
